Good Hope Farm Partners

Known as the A.M. Howard Farm from 1930’s to 2008, Good Hope Farm is a pilot project for a larger statewide collaboration between conservation and community economic development groups. The nonprofit partnership believes that this project is a model for stewardship of surplus property, with opportunities to replicate this project in other urban areas in North Carolina. PCC has a new multiple year agreement with Cary. Our Project Manager, Thomas Saile, manages the day-to-day operations of the Farm.

  • Town of Cary: Cary supports the project with a project manager that handles infrastructure installation, renovations, Cary programs and services at the facility (municipal water, electric service, curbside garbage collection) and generally maintains the Town’s best interests by executing the lease and all it entails.
  • Initial Partnerships to Launch program: NC Community Development Initiative (NCDI) and Conservation Trust for NC (CTNC)
  • The Conservation Fund (TCF)– is an ongoing partnership to support administrative and marketing efforts
