Who We Are
Since 1967, Piedmont Conservation Council has been dedicated to strengthening communities across ten North Carolina counties through innovative conservation projects. Our work focuses on protecting water quality, preserving farmland, encouraging outdoor recreation, and fostering sustainable economic growth. We believe that conserving natural resources is essential for the well-being of both our environment and communities, and we actively partner with residents, government agencies, and organizations to achieve lasting impact.
Our Mission: To leverage people and resources for innovative projects that promote conservation and sustainable communities.
Projects

Agricultural Sustainability Projects

Community & Education Projects
An increase in economic welfare and the health of our ecosystem starts locally. Community projects focus on resource-based business promotion, economic development, and education promotion.

Watershed Restoration Projects
Addressing water quality and needs in the Cape Fear, Neuse, and Dan River basins, creeks, and rivers, as well as planning and assessing how to prevent and restore soil erosion and source pollution.
